The 19-year-old midfielder has been with Bayern since 2018 and became the youngest player to appear for the club in the Bundesliga when he made his debut against Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2022/23 at the age of 16 years and 15 days old, a record which still stands today.
"Paul arrived at the FC Bayern Campus at the age of 13 and has constantly progressed there, becoming a Germany youth international and making his case for the senior team. We wish him all the best for the future," said Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl of the departing Wanner.
