Harlass-Neuking ran to block 17 of Magdeburg's Avent Arena after learning the fan had collapsed in the stands. He was able to successfully resuscitate the supporter, who was subsequently taken to hospital and made a full recovery.
The Regensburg club doctor's actions have now been recognised with the FIFA Fair Play Award - an annual honour presented to a player, coach, team, match official, individual fan or fan group in recognition of exemplary fair play behaviour, either on or off the pitch.
The 63-year-old was revealed as the recipient of the 2025 prize prior to the FIFA Celebration 2025 Dinner at Fairmont Katara Hall in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.
