>>> Which of these top sprinters are in your fantasy team?
1) Oliver Burke (Union Berlin) - 22.38 mph (36.01 km/h)
This season, there's been no catching Burke. The Scot has so far been the only player to have broken the 36 km/h barrier and it's by no means a one-off. The 28-year-old loves to put his speed to use, with Die Eisernen's Scottish striker recording 37 sprints on average every 90 minutes - the most league-wide.
However, even Burke still has some way to go to match the top speeds of previous seasons. The Bundesliga speed record, set back in March by Eintracht Frankfurt's Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, stands at 23.09 mph (37.16 km/h). Burke's 22.38 mph sprint doesn’t even crack the all-time top 10 since data tracking began in the 2019/20 season. Even Burke himself reached a top speed of 22.82 mph (36.72 km/h) last season - so there’s clearly more to come!
