The top four in the 2024/25 Bundesliga earned a direct place in the league phase of this season’s Champions League. Bayern, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund have become regulars in Europe’s top continental competition, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s third-place finish saw them qualify for the Champions League via their league position for the first time ever.
This is the second season of the new-format competition with a 36-team league phase in which each team plays eight different opponents, four at home and four away.
