The 34-year-old collapsed in the 65th minute of the game, but after receiving treatment, he was later able to walk off the pitch. The friendly was subsequently abandoned.
The Danish national team doctor, Morten Boesen, has since offered a promising statement on Eriksen’s condition.
"Christian is doing well and walked off the pitch by himself," he said.
"As I see it, the pacemaker responded as it should. He was briefly gone, but very quickly regained consciousness, and we were quickly in contact with him.”
During the 2020 UEFA European Championship in 2021, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s game with Finland and subsequently was fitted with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) – a type of pacemaker.
